Hi, today is my last day at Novell/SUSE. Thank you all for having a great time. I'm really proud to see the huge improvements that we accomplished in our products to make us the leading Linux distribution for Windows integration out of the box. The Samba Team has publically criticized the Novell/MS deal. I share that perception and made my own personal decision. Of course, I will continue to work on Samba in the future. You can always contact me at [deleted] or [deleted].
Best wishes,
Guenther

Guenther,
...
The ebay Germany has the motto 'three, two, one, mine'. For the Novell's Samba Team we might paraphrase this to 'three, two, one, ...'. I'm not sure yet what rhymes well to one. As a Novell spokesman said: We still have Nat and Miguel. Therefore I suggest to reimplement Samba in mono asap. Quad dual core CPU systems and 64 GB of memory might support it. Enough from the department of bad jokes for today. The last time you left I was unhappy. Instead of today I appreciate your step as I did Jeremy's. I hope you'll find a good working environment and make even the other enterprise Linux OS work well together with Microsoft products. Even and hopefully without a bloody contract. Service Pack 1 of Novell's SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 product will have the most advanced and state of the art Samba available at the moment. This is the result of Novell's Samba teamwork. The future is left to the reader's imagination. A huge thank you from my side for your hard work in the last two years! In particular as I'm aware of your team mates habit. :))

Or is it only me who feels they would fit well into Debian's team? ;)
