- Miss Celania really has a series of blog posts on mental_floss. Her Morning Cup of Links are usually funny.
- Brain Game: This Class Stinks is an nice and cute one, just make sure (if you’re not an American, that is) that the increasing series is EDCBA, not ABCDE, as I was tempted to think while solving the issue. UPDATE: Brain Game: Math Monday II (or is it III?) is a kinky puzzle, whereas Brain Game: Legal Twice Over is way too simple.
- Art Deco vs. Art Nouveau, the worst, yes useful hint on which is which.
- The Reader is a horrendous movie for it’s script is totally unbelievable (why would that female being help the kid in the first scene? not knowing at that point anything about her made it plausible, but later on…) and it shows one more time how people don’t have cojones, yet you might still be able to win a copy of the official DVD… unless it’s an April Fool’s prank. (Maybe it’s not, as the DVD is to be released on April 14.) I would rather need a copy of Revolutionary Road.
- How idiot must you be as an editor (you definitely have to be an American!) to put on the copyright page of “May Day” by F. Scott Fitzgerald the stupid legal disclaimer: “The views expressed in this book are the responsibility of the author and do not necessarily represent the position of The Editorium. The reader alone is responsible for the use of any ideas or information provided by this book.” (Hint: the author is dead and he’s one of the major American writers people are taught in school.)
- Where Are They Now? 25 Computer Products That Refuse to Die. I agree on the dot-matrix printer, but Circuit City is not a “computer product”, and it’s dead and stiffy.
- Stupid and funny Construction Mistakes.
- 10 More Common Misconceptions is wrong on the MSG. Top 10 Common Misconceptions is right about our cousins, the monkeys. Another 10 Common Misconceptions includes a theory I knew about, according to which the promised 72 “virgins” are actually “white grapes”!
- Radical Retrofuture Rides: 12 Never-Produced Vehicles. A site to explore.
- 9 Good Things The Internet Has Ruined Forever. Moderately funny and highly uninspired.
